God Draws Nearer

God Draws Nearer

This morning when I arrived at the stop in Dybbelsbro where I get off for the short walk to the Copenhagen Sprog School, I hurried to the elevator which is little more than a lift with just enough space for two or three people, and a bike. I looked back as I was about to press the button for the door to close, but I saw a nice plump blond lady hurrying toward the elevator. I pressed the button and held the door for her. She was grateful. I was happy to do it.
While we rode up to the surface street at Ooksehallen, she complimented me on my attire. I was flying my colors today–rainbow jacket and pants, with a three-color skull cap. It was a pleasant 30 seconds or so.
Once at the top, she wished me a good day and gave me a hug and a kiss for my kindness, saying, “tak sku’ du ha’!” It was such a surprise, as many Danes are standoff-ish with strangers and “mind their own business” as a religion. I told her to have a good day and to my surprise,as I came to the corner light and looked about, the scene was replete with people in red, cars and trucks the same. It confirmed again my belief that God speaks to us in ways we can understand, and we can ask for the color or thing we want to see as a fifth-reminder or proof of our ability to manifest spiritually.
I was filled with such reverence, that I stopped at the park bench and sang aloud, “Nearer My God to Thee” an old gospel song from my early rearing in Baptist church. Then as I prayed for all and gave thanks, other people passed near to me in red jackets and clothing. I felt so blessed.

And this was following a dream last night of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. coming to visit me. What a touch of divine majesty! Here’s your Daily Word:

My heart is the abode of Love.
In a moment of quiet contemplation, I fix my thoughts on my heart center, and very quickly, I feel the love of God. Allowing my attention to rest here for a few moments, I declare silently: I am the abode of Love.

Love is synonymous with God. It is unfailing and unchanging, mine to draw upon at any time. When I allow Love to permeate my entire being, it becomes a powerful force, driving out any doubt, sadness, or fear.

My heart fills with the mighty magnetic force of Love, and I am empowered to do only good, to share only love. My every thought, word, and action express the love of God in me. Aglow with God’s love, my heart becomes a magnet attracting good from every direction.

Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.—Proverbs 4:23

In prayer, I commune with Spirit.
I treasure the act of prayer—communing with Spirit about what is on my heart and mind. I may say a prayer of gratitude for a specific blessing, or seek a change in circumstances. I may pray for clarity about a difficult decision or for the needs of a loved one. As I live in constant communication with Spirit, my life becomes a prayer.

Answered prayer comes to me as an opportunity, a divine idea, a sense of hope, or perhaps a serendipitous connection with another. Whenever I pray, I feel connected, one with God. I believe in and expect answered prayers. I pray for “This or something better,” and I give thanks. As my prayers are answered, my faith grows.

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances;

Kinds of Faith–Choose Your Color

Kinds of Faith–Choose Your Color

What can I say to you that is new regarding faith?
I can say, what you believe and hope for with determined expectation is faith.
I can say that if you’ve ever gotten something that you wished for unexpectedly that is as a result of faith.

I can say that “faith’ has many definitions, some of them come out of belief in another, a kind of trust in their actions based on what you know about them or of them.

There is faith, as in a collective ideology, such as Catholocism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Christianity which is shared with others.

There is faith in the good standing and reliability of a product or service. You know those trade brands that you use with confidence.

But I think faith overall is the long term stand for your own truth and what is the source for your fulfillment. For me the Holy Spirit, God, the Source, the Almighty –whatever you call the Source for your unfolding—is underneath all my hopes, all my advances, all my fortunate encounters, all of my divine outcomes, everything. I have no way to let go of that faith, even if it were proven somehow, some way that there is no God, I would hold on to my faith that there is–and of course, you know my faith has been proven time after time. God is Red.
Here’s your Daily Word
Monday, April 28, 2014
My faith is strong and my life successful.
Faith is the perceiving power of mind coupled with the power to shape substance. It is knowing that what I seek is already mine in Spirit. Through the power of faith and the energy of God, I cocreate experiences of health, abundance, and joy.

Faith is like the steel used to reinforce and strengthen concrete. Steel provides a strong foundation on which to build a desired structure. Likewise, faith provides a stable foundation for creating the life I want to live.

I allow faith to permeate my mind, filling me with the assurance of God’s good. Day by day, as I live in faith, it grows stronger and my life unfolds with ease and grace.

Who is a rock besides our God? The God who girded me with strength, and made my way safe.—Psalm 18:31-32

A prayer for a Red Touch of God–preamble to the Daily Word”pray for others”

A Prayer for a Red Touch of God

Dear Lord–Most Holy One–within and without, everywhere here and always–

Thank you for another day of life. Thank you for my health and the health and soundness of my loved ones. Thank you for another spring, the clear air to breathe, and for the peace that surrounds us.

We pray gratefully, knowing there are many this day who sufer and are in need of comfort. They inlcude many families whose loved ones and friends, associates, and marital partners are grieving the losses from the plane that went down (or disappeared) last month; the ferry that capsized last week, the people who have be killed and injured in South Sudan, the angst and conflict in Syria and the clash in the Ukraine.

Lord, these are just a few of the places where there is pain and suffering, conflict and war. We do not know why such teeming appearances of discord happen now, like this, all at once, but we do know all is a part of the effort and impulse for divine order and divine outcomes. The earth must be brought back to balance. Our species must advsnce, evolve. I am a stand for that, Mother-Father_God. I hold the hope like a precious diamond. My faith is in you and in the power of one.

The world does not welcome this disruption and discord, and it is clear we must do something. You have given us but this world to live in and upon. Forgive us and fortify us. I ask in this prayer, now, for us aLL, NOW, IN THIS MOMENT FOR THE TOUCH OF YOUR HAND ON THESE SITUATIONS. MAKE YOUR PRESENCE KNOWN AS YOU DO TO ME IN THE RED WAYS. I CALL YOU NOW IN THE NAME OF JESUS AND EVERY HOLY MIND. MAY YOUR BLESSINGS BE, MAY THE CONFLICTS ,THE PAIN AND SLAUGHTER STOP. Amen

Here’s the Daily Word:

I affirm God’s blessings for you.
If a loved one faces difficulty, I pray for them. When I watch a news story or witness an accident, I pray for those involved. Prayer connects us soul to soul. Spirit is active in all beings at all times, and a simple prayer from the heart can help reestablish wholeness.

Praying for others strengthens my faith. I trust the loving power of God to touch the hearts of those for whom I pray. When I see results or evidence of divine order, I am reassured and my faith deepens. Although I may not always know the outcome of my prayers, my faith assures me that needs are met in the right and perfect way. I am grateful that the spirit of God is with us and within us at all times and in all circumstances.

I do not cease to give thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers.—Ephesians 1:16

It Feels Right–God Shows Up in Red–Preamble to Daily Word “right path”

It Feels Right–God Shows Up in Red

Izzy the Bean has a new home that he will love. It is on the East coast of the US, and it is with two lovely Pomeranian girls, who will doubtless love his scent as much as he will love theirs. I understand from Beth, his foster mom-to-be, her girls are pretty flirty. Izzy is pretty sexy. Watch out for busy times, Beth!

I had my written test in Danish today. It was a simple exercise–write an email and ask a friend for the loan of her or his car. Tell them when, why, and how long you will need it. In the past for other Danish writing assignments, I have had lots of trouble writing simple constructions. This was a retest. I had to drop my huge vocabulary and just keep it simple.
I am pleased to say I did. Passed with flying colors. What I worried over, I looked up in my trusty dictionary (allowed) and what I second guessed myself about, I double-checked. When I read it back to myself, it read well and felt right. I owe that to the answers to my prayers which I did before and during the test.

The Holy Spirit is present in my life, and I am told daily when I arrive at my morning corner at Oxenhallenvej where I do a short prayer for all of Denmark, (and everyone and everything I can call to mind). I have assigned God the color red. So when I get to the corner, I expect God to meet me. Sometimes God comes as a red truck. Another time as a red bike, or the postman wearing his red jacket. Sometimes, passing folk are wearing red scarfs, jackets, or other snatches of it in mixed logos or adverts are in the flow of the daily traffic. God is physically present in my life because I choose to have Her?Him/It present. That is how I know I am on my right path. Here’s your Daily Word:

Wednesday, April 23, 2014
I am on my right and perfect path.
Sometimes life seems anything but simple. Yet the more I focus on how complicated a situation is, the more complexity I create. My imagination never pauses. Left to wander, it will often create problems and obstacles.

But I can choose differently. I let go and surrender the situation to the power of God within. I give my imagination a rest and listen for divine guidance. I know that God’s guidance is neither complicated nor negative. It is simple, peaceful, and true—it feels right.

Back on the right path, centered in God-consciousness, I now direct my imagination to envision the good unfolding in my life, and I am grateful.

The Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything.—John 14:

The Good Earth–Tara–preamble to the Daily Word:”earth blessing.”

The Good Earth-Tara

Mother Earth has many names. I favor Tara. It sounds mystic and earthy.
Each day I set foot from bed and walk the streets of my day knowing it is earth, the land beneath me, that grounds my movement and steadies my gravitational uprightness.
This Mother of mine is gentle, and moody when the seasons fluctuate. She is lovely in the spring in red and yellows, greens, and pinks. She dances between the visits of bees in the trees and bushes and she reaches out to me thickly from beneath the Chestnut and Beech, the Hazel and the Oak with fierce roots. I sit with her beneath those leaves on those roots and feel her pulse, listen for the salamander and the nymph. How sweet, how sweet. I need no path to follow those days.

Today I have blessed my own life and it’s meandering fulfillment. There is in it a truth about knowing the path and walking the path. I walk the path before me in an open-eyed meditation I hold hands with the sunshine, with the rain, and I kiss the wind. I shiver in the arms of snow, and hide from the blaze of lightning, but never could I curse these comforting emotions of the earth. Mother, mother, you move me as ashes upon a breeze and speak to my spirit your name–Tara. Here’s the Daily Word from Unity:
Tuesday, April 22, 2014
I bless this glorious planet and all that live upon it.
In Genesis we read, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth … Then God said, ‘Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land’ … God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.”

Today I express my deep gratitude to God for this planet and all its glory. To show my appreciation, I take care of my earthly home. I start a garden, plant a tree, or pick up garbage in my community. I enjoy a walk in nature or meditate at sunrise.

I bless the Earth by caring for it and respecting its delicate balance, which allows all life to coexist in harmony and flourish in abundance.

I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth takes its name.—Ephesians 3:14-15

Easter Monday–Preamble to the Daily Word on “Happiness”

Easter Monday

Easter has come and gone in USA but here in Denmark, we still have this Monday as the final day in the long week-end since Thursday. Businesses were closed and remain so. So, we have one more day of play and relaxation. Yesterday I spent the first spring day in the garden with Vivi. She turned the soil and readied it for our new plants. I made lavendar bundles and enjoyed the big open sky above us. Lots of wild geese, ravens, gulls, and magpies were around. It was good to be out of doors and to inhale the clear fresh air. I was feeling so tender inside, so grateful, so utterly overwhelmed by my own good fortune and V’s love. The extra good news is I have found a home for Izzy. He will be going to live with a family in Michigan. He will get love and care and space to be. It takes little to make me happy; these blessings make me ecstatic! Happy spring and great days of praise rise before you! Here’s your Daily Word:
Monday, April 21, 2014
Centered in Spirit, I am happy.
We often think that money, possessions, and external conditions bring happiness. But it is my consciousness that determines true happiness.

My state of mind affects my perception of the people, places, and events in my life. At the same time, my thoughts and words influence my experiences. Knowing this, I assume responsibility for my own state of happiness.

Attuning myself to Spirit, I contemplate the love of God within me, for out of this love all blessings flow. I contemplate peace, which dwells deep within my soul. Out of this peace flows harmony with others. With my thoughts on these gifts of Spirit, I feel gratitude welling up within me, and happiness springs up naturally.

Happy are those who find wisdom, and those who get understanding.—Proverbs 3:13

Easter Blessing–Preamble to the Daily Word

Easter Blessings
Easter Sundays of my past were always dress up days. As a child or an adult, I got new clothes or wore my best looking frock–with hat–to church. This was a symbol of renewal. Church on those Sundays was always full. Folk who had not come in months or for the whole year, in fact, showed up for the festivities and sermon.
The children had always been collected and taught dramatic presentations of the Easter story, and they would step forward and rattle off their little poem-like sentiment for the occasion
What you looking at me for?
I didn’t come to stay.
I’m just here to to tell you
It’s Happy Easter Day!
Their little exposiitions were always the best part of the day at church–next to the community pot luck that followed. But the sermon was always a dramatic elocution from the shameful denigration of Jesus to the triumphant resurrection “Come Easter Sunday morning!” The blood of Jesus was spilled for the nations, to show God’s love for us. This is the teaching, but the great news is not in the brutal and harsh death of Christ, but in the splendid message of His over-coming death. That we do not die, that we are eternal. So blessed be upon your mortal body and the Spirit that animates it. And greater awakening to the Spirit that you are who owns and controls that body. Just remember, it is only a machine for your motal use. You are no less a daughter or son of God and alreay transcendent.

Here’s your Daily Word:

I am one with the Christ of my being.
Good Friday signifies the day on which Jesus was crucified and laid in the tomb. It symbolizes the process of transformation followed by resurrection. We can see it as a time to rest in God and enter into a higher state of consciousness as we release what no longer serves our spirit.

Today I prepare for my own transformation as I retreat from the world and enter the Silence. In this sacred space, I let go of any worry or fear. I release any sense of inadequacy or doubt. I let go of anything separating me from the love of God.

At rest in Oneness, I reawaken to my spiritual nature. I am one with the light and life of the indwelling Christ.

Now there was a garden in the place where he was crucified, and in the garden there was a new tomb in which no one had ever been laid.—John 19:41

Thursday, April 17, 2014
Today I am free to begin anew.
In springtime, all is made new. As buried bulbs push up through the ground, I behold the cycle of Life at work. I discover the same kind of drive in me to create a new life for myself.

I am free to release old ideas, habits, or preconceptions. I choose to think and do only what supports my highest good. Each moment offers me the gift of making a new choice. I deserve the life I dream of—the life I was meant for. Every day I remind myself: I am free! I am free! My freedom grows as I trust in my God-given power.

The seed of new possibilities has been planted in me. I blossom in every area of my life. I am happy, joyous, and free!

For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.—Galatians 5:1

“Peace Like”-a Preamble to the Daily Word–“world peace”

Peace Like (c)2014 SDiane Adamz-Bogus (aka Shariananda)

Peace like a still life painting
Peace like a baby sleeping
Peace like self-satisfaction
Peace like grandma rocking
Peace like sleeping wasps nests
Peace like the receded tide
Peace like melting chocolate
Peace like the silent mount
Peace after the night has passed
Peace like the mind gone empty
That’s how the Peace of God lasts.

I emanate peace and love to all the world.
If I have been feeling angry or critical, I recognize that I may be disconnected from God’s peace within. Today I rise above these feelings, release them, and reconnect with the presence of God in me. As I meditate, I feel divine love moving in and through me. Loving-kindness begins to emanate from me to each person I meet.

Love is the greatest harmonizing force in the world. It dissolves any feelings of negativity or judgment. It fills my heart with peace.

As I discover and express the peace of God, I share it with others. As I do, they, too, awaken to peace within. As each individual recognizes and expresses peace and love, the world is blessed. One person at a time, we contribute to a world of peace.

A harvest of righteousness is sown in peace for those who make peace.—James 3:18
